MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Sean Grogan is a seasoned professional with a background as a former special investigation detective in the Woodbridge, NJ Police Department. Throughout his career, Grogan regularly employed his expertise in nonverbal communication and body language, particularly during his time in the narcotics unit, as a canine handler, and as a gang investigator. He has conducted numerous successful narcotics investigations and assisted various agencies with their own cases. Grogan's extensive training in Europe, focusing on micro facial expressions, body language, and other forms of non-verbal communication, greatly influenced his work in law enforcement, enhancing his effectiveness during countless interviews. Additionally, he holds a trainer's certification from the Body Language Institute in Alexandria, Virginia. Grogan's exceptional skills and experience led to his recruitment as a mentor for Joe Navarro's Body Language Academy. Grogan has a degree in Criminal Justice from the Thomas Edison State University and is an OIF III Marine Veteran. He is also the esteemed author of the book Beware of the Body.
